Our Weather
The Local Forecast
We had to show off this picture of the rainbow, and for most of our "In Season" play you will find sun here. Of course we are not far from the rain found in the Portland area and to the south through the Willamette Valley. Why? We are located just east of the Cascade mountain range and it protects the Hood River Valley from most of the NW Pacific rain producing systems. The average temperature for our area from April-September is 74 degrees. The average precipitation for that same time period is 0.94 inches. Most people consider Oregon a rainy weather state, but in fact the eastern portion of the state is arid high plains and desert. In the summer months you will be hard pressed to see any rain in Hood River.
Here is the local forecast provided by WeatherForYou, a great resource for many sites worldwide. Their weather information is provided by local weather stations feeding into their systems. More often then not you will get a more accurate snapshot than the larger more established (heavily advertised) websites and news channels.
